We were storytelling long before we had written language. Storytelling is the oldest form of communication, education and way of sharing our human experience with each other---it connects us, and is at the root of all creative expression and compassion.
Where to begin?
Starting your story can be daunting. The process of writing a story can be overwhelming. A guide can often be a great resource in navigating such territory.
There is not one way to tell a story,
but you can choose how you lead.
At a state college in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, I focused my undergraduate studies on the correlations that can be drawn between expression, communications and human behavior, earning a BA in Anthropology and Art. Choosing to get my feet wet in advertising and marketing, out of the gate, I first worked for a small, Indian newspaper and then for two different corporate agencies in Boston, supporting loyalty campaigns. From there, I moved into event planning, marketing and promotion for the hospitality industry. After five solid years of using my creativity to further the vision and brands of companies, I decided to diverge onto my own course, returning to school for an MFA in Writing.
Since 2013, I have been a freelancer, staff and content writer for various publications, both print and online, as well for companies, social enterprises and nonprofits.
